THE WOOL AND WILLOW FESTIVAL is an exciting and highly successful selling event that brings together people from across the country and beyond to share a passion for wool, willow and natural fibres. The Festival includes high-quality exhibits with a unique selection of products using willow, wool and other natural fibres, all made by specialist producers in Wales and the Borders. The Festival is open seven days a week and is manned at all times on a rota basis by the exhibitors, and will run for four weeks this year.

There will be a programme of workshops with a range of exciting experiences, including knitting, creative textiles, crochet, felting, a variety of basket making techniques, willow garden structures and willow sculpture. Experts will be on hand to demonstrate their skills and answer questions. If you would like to be involved in these activities please contact:

TAKING PART

You are invited to apply for exhibition space at the 2011 festival. All exhibitors will be members of the Wool & Willow Festival during the year in which they exhibit and may attend and vote at any meetings of the Festival Organisation.

Please if you are interested in an exhibition space.

The festival is primarily promoting the use of wool and willow. Other natural materials may be included but should constitute no more than 30% of the product content.

LABELLING

Every individual product for sale must be clearly labelled with the initials or name of the exhibitor or the initials or name of the business, as well as the price. Please indicate on the application form the initials/name you will be using on your labels. Sales will be recorded on one sheet at the counter and cross-referenced on that sheet. It is up to volunteers at the counter to be vigilant with sales records as the Festival organisers will not be responsible for unrecorded sales.

VOLUNTEERING AT THE FESTIVAL

The event depends on volunteers to run the exhibition over the four week period. Every exhibitor must volunteer for at least 5 sessions during the Festival. One session is a half day. Please indicate your availability on the rota. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred choice. Construction of the rota is complex so please return your forms as soon as possible.
